Maybe the __tostring() will be the best because few naming
conventions for methods exist. Some people prefer C-like some_method(), some
like Java-

I have build RPM packages of PHP 4.3.2 wit a lot of modules. The
packages are - as my PHP 4.3.1 packages - based on Troels Arvin's work.
I only have a Red Hat 7.3 machine to build on. If anyone can give me

Attached is a patch that makes version_compare() treat versions such as
4.0.1p1 like 4.0.1pl1. I know this version suffix isn't used by PHP, but
there were some problems because PEAR packages used it, and i don't see
any problem with version_compare() handling non-php versions as well.
