The PHP Development Team is glad to announce the release of PHP 5.0.1.
This release is a maintenance release consisting mainly of bug fixes. It
also includes new installation docs which are
now auto-generated directly from the PHP Manual (INSTALL in the UNIX source

Anyone installed it?
Just tried out the Win32 zip. All my tests pass without a problem, so
I'll put it up on the demo server and see what happens :)

Stable snapshots == released version + bug fixes.
There is no reason why you wouldn't want to run one if you are running
with a buggy 5.0.0 release, especially if you are complaining about a
bug known to be fixed there.
Having said that, 5.0.1 is due any day now.

Hi,
sorry to ask this question but
do you think that PHP 5.0.1 will be out soon?
not that I'm that impatient but the http authentication bug is really
anoying and I'd prefer not to pack a WAMP5 release with a snapshot...
Thanks

As I mentioned about a week ago, I'd like to roll 5.0.1 (mainly due to the
auth bug) and some other fixes.
I was thinking of rolling this minor release tomorrow or Tuesday. If you

problem with delaying it somewhat more...
