[Intel-gfx] Xen is Busted

2016-04-20 Thread cacook
No one will just come out and just tell us the truth, so that users can quit wasting our time trying to make your Xen work. Your 4.2 kernel dumps core on i915, and Xen hangs on disk drive ID. Why don't you just take down the Xen half of this whole thing, and stop causing so many people the loss

Confirmed: Xen is completely busted for Skylake. Kernel can't boot due to i915 core dump. On 04/19/2016 07:49 AM, cac...@quantum-sci.com wrote: > No ideas? Am I right? > > > On 04/18/2016 08:21 PM, cac...@quantum-sci.com wrote: >> On 04/18/2016 07:40 PM, Felix Miata wrote: >>> cac...@quantum-sc

I take it there's no SkyLake support on the Xen side, since that starts with kernel 4.4? 0xF8ED1710.asc Description: application/pgp-keys ___ Intel-gfx mailing list Intel-gfx@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/intel

[Intel-gfx] DMAR PTE access not set

2016-04-18 Thread cacook
On boot after kernel compile I'm getting: DMAR PTE access not set. Fast TSC calibration failed. -- It concludes with "DRHD Fault". And it hangs there. CentOS 3.10 kernel boots fine with intel_iommu=on. Why? VT-d and SRIOV capable (Supermicro) mobo, with both on. Bing only has stuff from 2012
