I've noticed a weird problem lately. It often happens when one of my
accounts contains 200+ messages.
I use POP3 access to this account, and when I poll mail, it "hangs" at some
point and after a minute or two it continues the download of messages.
At the next poll round, it's the same story, no

Title: smtp connector?
Hi world,
I want to replace my existing ms exchange
server with the "suse open exchange server"
( it's a all-in-one server), which uses
postfix an Cyrus imap for email handling.
I'm a newbie to Cyrus imap and postfix,
so I have a question about a feature I need.

Salutations,
We'd like to move mailboxes.db to another disk to help with
performance. We're running 2.1.15 on Solaris 8 and skiplist for this
file. Would creating a symlink (mailboxes.db -> other disk/file) cause
chaos or must I change source code?
Thanks, P

Hi,
Forgive me if this post isn't entirely clear; I going on what someone else
has told me. From what I understand, there was a patch created for an older
version of cyrus-sasl that allowed saslauthd to be launched with the "-r"
switch to combine user and realm for the userid:

Hi,
I searched the web to find an answer to this question, but the lack of hits
makes me think that no one has yet bothered to develop a GUI for cyrus-imap.
Is this true? While working with cyradm does the job, I can only imagine
how much easier it would be to administer if there was a nice GUI d
Thanks - point taken.
After consideration, however, I don't clearly understand the increased
vulnerability.
Calling "mboxlist_createmailbox" from "lmtpd" takes an "auth_state",
which I presume must have authority to create the specified mailbox.

hello all,
I have a mailbox that needs to store it's messages and forward a copy on
to an external address. my test of this procedure on 2.1.15 works fine
using Squirrelmail's avelsieve plugin/editor. However, uploading the
same filter to the new server (2.2.3) breaks mail delivery completely
There is my PHP class, which still needs to update for cyrus 2.2.3 which
does most of what you need. but it is only a backend to ease the process
of making a GUI frontend.
All cyradm does is send IMAP commands to the server. If you can find an
IMAP client that supports setting quotas and ACLs you c

Dear All,
This may be a stupid question but is there any reason why someone should
not be able to obtain their own e-mail quota. If I do something like
telnet imaphost 143
. login ccx004 password
. getquota user.ccx004
I get "NO Permission denied"
If I do the same as an administrative user (e.g

hello folks
i was wondering if it is possible to write a sieve script that sends

information in the to header.
