I have been having problems with one users mailbox. This occurs
about weekly. I see the following in the mailq:
(conversation with /var/imap/socket/lmtp[/var/imap/socket/lmtp]
timed out while sending end of data -- message may be sent more than once)

After a bad restart of the cyrus server, imap, pop, cyradm and imtest fail
to function. The server had been functioning without problem for about
6 months. A spare server was loaded with the backups, which had no
problem starting imap and the rest. So the configuration before the restar

authentication. I made an error in the setting up of imap
pam-mysql.

Could the use of pam-mysql have anything to do
the authentication failure. The passwords in the db
are encrypted with mysql password function. I can
log in from a client without any problems.
