Guys,
Could someone please point me to a working howto about
getting sendmail to talk to/check in with smmapd to
validate users.
I've been trying to get this to work for days now, and can't
find anything remotely up to date.
I've been using FEATURE(`ckuser_cyrus') on an previously
running server
I have previously used imapsync ( http://imapsync.lamiral.info/ ) with
great success,
primarily as a backup tool, but also to import data for new users, and
export data
to other provider when a user moves.
Office 365 is on the list of supported imap servers (
imapsync.lamiral.info/S/imapservers.sh
s3 version on my test-server, if for
nothing else,
to have tried both suggested solutions.
Thanks again.

This is driving me nuts. I really need some help here.
I'm running a test sendmail (8.15.2) and a cyrus-imapd 2.5.7 on
slackware 14.1 running in a virtualbox.
j...@example.com is a valid user on cyrus, not a login (linux) user.

localhost.localdomain> lm
user/joe/dra...@example.com
Ok, so I finally got sendmail to preserve domain in the mail address. It's
a bunch
of m4 macros that I have no idea about what they are there for.
For some reason, afte the domain part started to work, the aliases and
virtusertable
are not being used.
I'm pretty sure it has to do with some of tho
, relay=localhost [[UNIX:
/var/imap/socket/lmtp]], dsn=5.1.1, stat=User unknown

Hi Guys,
I've been trying to get sendmail to play nice with imap with virtual
domains and virtdomains: userid with no luck so far.
The imap part is working as far as I cat tell. I can login as
u...@domain.tld
using imtest -a u...@domain.tld -t "" -m login
I just can't seem to get my head around
That could be easily tested with "lam " COMMAND.

Maybe, not being a perl hacker, i should try to get imapsync
to do what i want. Counting on support from my fellow Cyrus users ;^)
How hard can it be?

Any ideas as to how this can be done. Either by imapsync or some clever script?
