doesn't seem right. Thanks.

Hello,
I am trying to upgrade my version of Cyrus on a FreeBSD 6.0 machine.
I was able to use the ports system to successfully upgrade, then
followed the instructions on Cyrus' webpage to update the database
structure and mailboxes. I believe that that worked; however, when I

Hello all,
I am attempting to reconfigure Cyrus to work with multiple domains. I
have followed the instructions at
http://asg.web.cmu.edu/cyrus/download/imapd/install-virtdomains.html
For doing this. Everything seemed to go well; however, if I try to
create a mailbox with a full domain name (as
Hi all,
I am running Cyrus with Sendmail as the MTA on a FreeBSD 6.0 system.
Currently, IMAP messages are being written to /var/log/messages. I'd
prefer to have them be written to /var/log/maillog. Is there an
option to change in Cyrus' configuration file to do this, or any other
way?
Thanks,
Hmmm... Copying over the directory didn't work, so I opted to
reinstall Cyrus from the FreeBSD ports collection. After some minor
tweaking, this worked and everything is once again all right. Thanks
all for your help.

Hi all,
I recently upgraded our mailserver from FreeBSD 5.2.1 to 6.0. Most
items work perfectly fine after the upgrade (and thankfully, that
includes Cyrus itself), but cyradm no longer works:
# cyradm --user=cyrus localhost
Can't locate Cyrus/IMAP/Shell.pm in @INC (@INC contains:

Hi all,First off, thanks for all the excellent suggestions. Unfortunately, the simplest ones do not work. If I try to simply drag messages or entire folders to the IMAP server in Thunderbird, I get the following error:
The current command did not succeed. The mail server responded: Message conta
Hello,We are currently moving away from a POP3-based system (QuickMail Pro server and client) to IMAP, with Cyrus as the IMAP server and primarily Thunderbird as the client. Have already succesfully transitioned our users to using IMAP via Thunderbird. The problem we have run into is with older e
Hello Simon,
While Postfix is certainly an option, I would prefer to use qmail. If
you have any information relating to configuring qmail to run with
Cyrus, I would appreciate that instead of one-word responses unrelated
to the topic at hand.
Thanks,
Matt

Hello,
I administer a mail server which currently uses Sendmail as the MTA,
and Cyrus for IMAP mail services. I am very satisfied with Cyrus, but
would like to replace Sendmail for a variety of reasons. Ideally, I
would like to use qmail, but I cannot find any information that is

Actually, I found a way to do it -- I recreated the folder structure
from Thunderbird, then imported everything - worked fine. The only
problem is what all the messages are marked as unread, but that is a
fairly minor issue.

Hello,
We are switching machines in my office. Both are running Cyrus IMAP.
Is there a command in Cyrus to easily export the mailboxes, then
import them on the new machine?
Thanks,
Matt

Hello all,
I am setting up a new machine to host IMAP mailboxes. I chose FreeBSD
for this, since it is stable and I am fairly familiar with it. After
doing the base install and setup, I attempted to install cyrus-imapd2
by doing the following:
