The operating system is Linux RedHat 5.3
Sometimes, the number of lockers increases until no more lockers are left.
I searched for lock in the maillog file (grep lock mailog):
imap[12470]: DBMSG: 25913 lockers
imap[7497]: DBMSG: 26052
