This release is mostly a port of the patch to Cyrus IMAPd 2.3.1.
Moreover, a new imapd.conf option (autocreate_users) has been added to
restrict the users and/or groups whose mai

Still works! :-)
A little cheeky...
We are running cyrus imap on an OS X tiger server. I added a new user
to our openldap server with a groupname that matched the name of
another user, ie. username: doe, group: doe - newuser: jane, group: doe.

Thanks, Alexc.

The cyrus.index file does not get updat
Can anyone explain the locking scheme that is built in the accept()
loop in master/service.c (and service-thread.c, imap 2.2.12)?
I think I understand the code, but not what it's trying to
accomplish. Some lock files are created under socket/, but
only two per service ("id"'s 0 and 1, only 0 for

I intend to deploy cyrus for a somewhat large scaled email
server and I'm researching if cyrus will meet certain features
that I'm requested to implement. After studying the
documentation and the man page of imapd.conf I'm still left with
a few questions which I would like to pose here in h
You are absolutely correct. I forgot to list postgrey 1.23, in the
email software chain. The primary mail server utilizes only a 58 second
grey list which traps 90+% of the incoming traffic! The rest of the bad
is processed by Anomy and SpamAssassin.
