That's because the owner of a personal mailbox implicitly has 'lca'
rights. Change the implicit_owner_rights option to just 'l' and this
should solve the problem (assum

I am having problems getting cyrus-imap to build on Debian/Sarge. During
configure cyrus-imap complains about the lack of a db_create function in
-ldb-4.2. However, the /usr/lib/libdb-4.2.so file does exist.

I believe removing the "c" flag will remove the rights to create subfolders.
You'll want to also remove the "a" flag, if set, as this will let them
change the ACLs on the folder in question.
I don't know if being owner of the folder will override this, but I don't
think it will.

This sounds a bit drastic. It prevents the server from being used

Yes,
but I would like to make a distinction between different people. Some are
allowed to use subfolders, others aren't . but I guess that's not
possible by changing the ACL of the user on his/her mailbox?

Hello list,
I have a Debian sarge machine running postfix/cyrus21,
serving ~30 users with about 8000 daily emails.
Until I set up a proper backup solution, I have this little
script that dumps all the users’ mailboxes:
mail:~# cat /usr/sbin/dump
#! /bin/sh
#
for USER in user1

Hi all,
is there any tool available or any method how to see which users are loggged
in via IMAP/POP3? I need this to see if a user is currently connected or not
to be able to deny mailbox renaming or not.
Thanks in advance.

Hi all!
Is it possible to use an ACL to set a mailbox to 'pop only'. I would like to
be able to prevent people from creating (new) subfolders in their inbox.

PS: I have read all documentation on ACL's, but I have not been able to find
