I have compiled and installed version 2.0.16 of the Cyrus IMAP software
with BerkeleyDB 3.2.9. Unfortunately, after following the documentation in
the distribution, I am seeing multiple errors in the log file. Does anyone
have suggestions? I am including the log below,

I will see if I can get such a machine working with gcc. Currently, we
already use the GNU make program on all the machines.
Until that time, has anyone successfully compiled 2.1.3 with Sun's cc?
After looking at the code, I am baffled as to the cause of the problem *sigh*.

I am observing a problem where imapd occasionally does not close the TCP
session properly. This only seems to occur with 2.1.3.
The details are as follows.
My system is RedHat 7.2 with all appropriate errata except the kernel ones.
The kernel is 2.4.18 compiled from tarball, but this issue also

Or use altnamespace, depending on version used.

Hi *,
I have much trouble with imap-2.2 and sasl-2, so I thought I just had to
install Debian Potato, db-3.3 (for sasl-1 and sendmail), db-4.0 and sasl-2
and imap-2.2. Reason: Debian Potato does not know anything about db>=3. But
it did not work, 'master' now segfaults on that test machine. Fo

After some patching, (patching of patches, actually) I got Cyrus
imapd 2.0.16 to run on Mac OS X. Testing works with imtest (ie I can
authenticate).
cyradm fails, though:

I have updated to cyrus imapd 2.1.3.
The database backends are now configurable at compile. I'm still using
db3 as default because db4 has generated error messages and I b

Enric,
Thanks a million for pointing me to this resource. However I went to
http://www.webbench.com and subsequently to
http://www.etestinglabs.com/bi/cont1998/199807/emailt2.asp and found a
nice description of the tool, but could not find any links to download
the tool. I have written to ZDNET,

Now it works - in /usr/include, I had to delete db.h and the db3 directory.
But my problem is not resolved: I still have several imapd and sometimes one
or more lmtp processes which never disappear.

I would first go in with cyradm and run lm. There's a decent chance that
these folders did not get created as a subfolder of your INBOX, but
rather as seperate folders. If your lm output from cyradm looks
something like this:

Hi again,
I have now switched from courier-imap to cyrus-imap.

Hello!
Are there any plans to extend sieve for manipulating the message during
delivery? It is very annoying that some mailing list software (like the
one at CMU (hint, hint :)) do not add "Reply-To:" headers to messages
sent to the list. With procmail, I can pipe the message through formail

Is there any way to trigger adding message to mailbox
and launch external program on such event?
My intention is to have "special" IMAP folders
and let messages be processes after moving
to such folder (either by "hand" or by sieve script).
Thanks,
