CRAM and DIGEST are unable to
Using the latest IMAP and SASL I'm not able to do pop3 authenticaion. I
setup saslauthd as the pwcheck_method, but saslauthd reports -20 errors
(NOUSER).
The CRAM-MD5 and DIGETS-MD5 auths work fine over IMAP...
Any thoughts?

Hi all,
I just installed cyrus-imapd-2.1.0-BETA and cyrus-sasl-2.0.5-BETA.
Most things are working now, but deliver can't connect to the
lmtpunix-socket for some reason:
$ /usr/cyrus/bin/deliver jan
couldn't connect to lmtpd: Success
421 4.3.0 deliver: couldn't connect to lmtpd
Does anyone hav
Hi list,
We just had a sudden pike of activity on our mail server. The result is that
pop3d simply stopped working. Pop3d processes are just getting spawned, but
they do nothing. If i telnet to port 110 the connection gets established,
but i dont get the greeting from cyrus. Imapd works ok as

try:
ln -s /usr/local/lib/sasl /usr/lib/sasl
libsasl looks in /usr/lib/sasl for the plugins but installs them into
/usr/local/lib/sasl.

I have Cyrus IMAP V2.1 installed.
I can't get any vacation replies with this script:
# Mail rules for user lmr
# Created by ornl_forward version 1.0
require ["vacation","reject"];
vacation :days 7 :addresses

Hi all,
I installed Cyrus a few days ago and am still battling with a problem. I
can't seem to set password using saslpasswd. I keep seeing this in my
/var/log/messages:
Jan 4 10:39:19 shiraz saslpasswd: failed to set plaintext secret for
miketest:
generic failure
Jan 4 10:39:19 shiraz saslpas
have you tried ximian's evolution? i know it does imap, and i've read it
does ssl. yeah yeah its an outlook clone - but i find it really cool!

You need to go to the "crypto" form https://www.cyrusoft.com/cgi-bin/crypto
and get the plugin.
