My Saviour! :) It worked. I deleted the files, reconfigured and recompiled everything and it worked :-) Now i get this message ("* OK router Cyrus IMAP4 v2.0.16 server ready * BAD Invalid tag") when connecting. But i think that may not be any problem... A bigger problem is that can´t just

Greets. I got postfix lmtp delivery working for cyrus 2.0.16 today. My problem was that I forgot postfix was in a chroot jail and the cyrus lmtp socket was outside of that jail. A quick change to the /etc/cyrus.conf file fixed things right up and now postfix uses lmtp to hand off mail to cyrus.

I ran into the same problems with my slackware install, and I had to completely remove all of the libdb.so's . Slackware comes with libdb on it, and for some reason, if there are more than one, every thing falls to pieces. I put all of my libdb's in /usr/local/db/lib. and it was conflicting with

do you have cyradm installed twice on your system? /usr/bin/cyradm comes stock on most linux distributions and /usr/local/bin/cyradm if compiled from source. if so move /usr/bin/cyradm to /usr/bin/cyradm.old or something. also is there a /usr/lib/sasl and /usr/local/lib/sasl? if so do the same, mo

Not sure if this is relevant, but on my big Linux/Cyrus server I had to: echo 16384 > /proc/sys/fs/file-max to increase the total number of file descriptors that can be open at one time. I didn't have to use ulimit or anything else... This should probably be included in the cyrus-docs somewhere;
