My Saviour! :)
It worked. I deleted the files, reconfigured and recompiled everything
and it worked :-) Now i get this message ("* OK router Cyrus IMAP4 v2.0.16

* BAD Invalid tag") when connecting. But i think that may not be any
problem...
A bigger problem is that can´t just

It sounds like you have previously installed an earlier version, or with an

I got postfix lmtp delivery working for cyrus 2.0.16 today. My problem was
that I forgot postfix was in a chroot jail and the cyrus lmtp socket was
outside of that jail. A quick change to the /etc/cyrus.conf file fixed
things right up and now postfix uses lmtp to hand off mail to cyrus.
I ran into the same problems with my slackware install, and I had to
completely remove all of the libdb.so's . Slackware comes with libdb on it,
and for some reason, if there are more than one, every thing falls to pieces.
I put all of my libdb's in /usr/local/db/lib. and it was conflicting with

Hello,
I'am a new member at this mailing list.
I've installed the cyrus-sasl 1.5.24 and the cyrus-imapd 2.0.16, tcl,
makedepend and all the other things which mentioned in the documentation.
When i start the cyradm it doesn't works and always threw me out after the
password prompt.
the /var/log
do you have cyradm installed twice on your system? /usr/bin/cyradm comes
stock on most linux distributions and /usr/local/bin/cyradm if compiled
from source. if so move /usr/bin/cyradm to /usr/bin/cyradm.old or
something. also is there a /usr/lib/sasl and /usr/local/lib/sasl? if so
do the same, mo

Hello all,
We are currently testing a move from the Simeon IMSP server
to CMU's 1.6a3 and we seem to have a problem where the
address book switch values of "Use for Nick-names",
"Open on Startup" and "Use for Searching" are not preserved
in the Mulberry 1.4.5 client.
Once you set those switches
Not sure if this is relevant, but on my big Linux/Cyrus server I had
to:
echo 16384 > /proc/sys/fs/file-max
to increase the total number of file descriptors that can be open at
one time.
I didn't have to use ulimit or anything else...
This should probably be included in the cyrus-docs somewhere;
