No, it is not possible with the current code, but a hack to do so would

Try this patch. Fairly simple, but a pain in the ass to find.

Hi,
I've thrown Cyrus IMAP 2.0.16 on ftp.andrew.cmu.edu. I didn't test
the ancillary utilities as much as I would've liked (cyradm, etc.) but
the base server should be solid.
This version has some important db3 fixes, so I strongly encourage
people to upgrade, especially in high volume sites.

Hi,
Is it possible to use 2 sasl_pwcheck_methods at the same time?
for instance, I want to use PAM and sasldb, something like
this:
sasl_pwcheck_method: PAM, sasldb
Thanks for the help,
Barton
sorry, trying to improve performance on the info-cyrus list, taking a
little time.

I'll second that recommendation of Interscan Viruswall. We're also
running it on Redhat. Installation was easy, it automatically
downloads virus info updates weekly, web-based management interface is
convenient...
The only real downside I've seen is that application security is
pretty bad. D
The way I've always done it here is by using a web interface for all user
account creation. That way I can update the ldap server (using Net::LDAP)
and the IMAP server quota (using IMAP::Admin or Cyrus::Sieve)) at the same
time. Only the Quota max is stored in LDAP (that's the value that is used
Hi all,
I'm running hier FreeBSD 4.3 Release an I installed Cyrus-imapd with mysql
auth.
Right now I'm testing the sending of mails to local mailboxes of cyrus, but
it doesn't work.
Everytime I send an message I got the following failure message:

In brief, the two web applications are intended for different audiences.

Hi Devdas,
I am assuming you're keeping all your userdata in LDAP then. How do you
manage the LDAP data?

Oh, I also noticed that sieveshell doesn't do STARTTLS like
installsieve did. Is that something that can be enabled? Or
perhaps that hasn't been implemented yet?

try to use amavis (http://www.amavis.org/). amavis can configured to scan
incoming and outgoing mail. amavis scans within your MTA so you dont need a
specail cyrus anti-virus program.

We run avp anti-virus with very good results. They got a server version for linux that
works with cyrus, + postfix of sendmail or qmail.

Hmm. Can't help you on this one, some type of perlism.

I have a problem compiling Cyrus IMAPD. I'm a newbie to Linux and it may be
there's something obvious I've missed. This problem does not appear to be
covered in the archive of the list.
I have a machine running Slackware, the current version as of a couple of
weeks ago. Kernel version is 2.2.16,

I think it does make sense. The quota and
Devdas, can you patch ISPMan to do that?
run the changeQuota handler only when the quota is changed.

Hello,
I Wanted to ask if does exisit some product which can interact with cyrus
as an anti-virus program. I heard of programs changing the extension of
file names attachments to avoid dangerous viruses to being executed
automatically in the form of .pif windows file for example renaming .pif

Hi Kevin,
reading the quotas from LDAP is a good idea. The problem
is updating the used disc space somewhere. If you want to
store this information also on LDAP, it will need an update
for every incoming message. This is very problematic,
because usually, LDAP servers are not optimized for doing

Everytime you change something for the user. Use a script that not only
adds the info to LDAP, but also sends it to cyrus.
To enable this over the web, split it into two parts: one of w
