set on the home directories so that web based administration works. IF
it doesn't hurt you, do a 'chmod 700' on your home directory.

I have the same chipset, and sound is perfect. Are you trying out
sound in console or in graphics mode? In KDE, sometimes the Arts sound
server interferes with other programs which use the sound modules
directly. I had problems once or twice but they both came and went
mysteriously.

Sandeep, I am using Graphics mode and GNOME Right
from installation I am not able to get the sound. But
at the same time Sound is proper in Windows XP. But
Linux is detecting the sound card as I have mentioned
earlier. Can you provide me the solution.
