Hi The first partition on my HDD is WIn2000 and second is RH 7.2 and lilo corrupts MBR. Some time ago, there was a mention of wrting something in the C:\boot.ini file to make it dual boot. Can anyone tell me what was that. I don't have the option of having dos write the MBR. Thanks Naresh ==

Nothing except booting with floppy works. Does any one know of using Win2K boot loader to boot in Linux. Or If someone can tell me that Grub or any other boot utility works for dual boot if First partition is NTFS. Linux is 3rd partition and not is within 1024 cylinders. Thanks Naresh --- Ravi

Hi Naresh, U can either use 2K's bootloader or Lilo.. I sugest u use Win2K's bootloader.. Do this . Boot into Linux, get in a root . type dd if=/dev/hda8 of=boot.lnx count=1 bs=512 . now copy this boot.lnx onto a floppy and into the C: drive of win2K .. . Repair the boot up
