RPM package upgrade
On Redhat 6.X its not possible to install/Upgrade packages of Redhat 7.x. Reason is
that your RPM package software itself does not support new rpms.here is a simple
solution.just go to ftp://ftp.rpm.org/pub/rpm/dist/rpm-4.0.x/
download
db3-3.1.14-0.3.6x.i386.rpm, db3-devel

Upgradation of RPM from V3.x to v4.0x is possible if you follow the following steps.
1. Backup your rpm database directory - /var/lib/rpm This is very
important! I remember somebody trashing his complete RPM database and
not being able to recover it.
