Try $DISPLAY as :0.0 & :0.1 for first & second
monitors. BTB are you getting X on both displays.
Please check your X config file (/etc/XF86Config)
and lets us know the contents

hi everybody,
I have fixed up two display cards on my pc and two monitors and would like to be able have a tty or two on each monitor and shift between the ttys using the keyboard. My bios detects both display cards but I can ony select one for display.
How should i proceed in order to g
