I have a BSNL DSL connection with a UTStar 300R2 modem.
I have found that I need to reduce the MRU of the connection to 1452 bytes
in order to pop from gmail.com and access certain other secure sites.
I tried to set up a new VPI/VCI 0/35 connection with the MRU of 1452
