This is a case where I have to ask "why". The typical Lisp compiler (not
interpreter) is a Lisp to C translator with some additional glue. You can
probably even find support for translating CLOS to C++ if you look around.

The writer and Professor Umberto Eco points out that translation between
languages is translation between cultures. The challenge in translation is
to produce a result that is understandable, useful and maybe even elegant.
To translate you must not only translate the words, but the ideas.

I've started looking into translating a large amount of legacy Lisp code
into C++ using Antlr. I put together a simple grammar that generates an
AST. My question is: Where is the best place to attach semantic
information? It seems to me that I should have a 2 pass parser, starting
with the AST as s

On upgrading to ANTLRWorks 1.3, there is a regression in the display
of the tree view of the grammar in the left-hand pane:
- all productions are shown under the same label, which is the first
label that has any productions.
- the last character of each label up to that point is truncated.

(There doesn't seem to be any place to report ANTLRWorks bugs besides
this list, as far as I can see.)
The automatic update-download functionality of ANTLRWorks fails if the
download directory that was previously used, no longer exists.
That would be OK if the error message indicated more clearly
weird. yeah, could've been some old preference or something.

Hi All,
I noticed that if I wanted to configure the plugin the website description
http://antlr.org/antlr3-maven-plugin/usage.html seemed to have the
configuration tag in the wrong place. I'm not sure if this is universally true
for everyone but if I configuration tag in the other place the pl
Hi All,
I'm having an issue when generating java sources in Maven versus with
AntlrWorks. AntlrWorks seems to generate a perfectly fine size parser and lexer
but in Maven the source code gets bloated to the point that it won't compile.

Hi Ter!
I'm using the latest automatic install of the IntelliJ IDEA plugin.
At first, I tried changing the ports. After a few attempts, I set it
back to 49100 and just concentrated on trying to get it to work by
killing the process that was holding that port open each time. So, I'm
99% sure that
good day.
I have some questions about an errors-processing alogirthm in Antlr:
1) Antlr generates strange code. If no alternatives are right, it does the
following:
...
default:
CONSTRUCTEX();
EXCEPTION->type = ANTLR3_NO_VIABLE

Hi Min,
I'm a little puzzled at your example, but I'll take a crack at it.
