It seems that now that

cluster bug that existed in 2.3.8 .. Upgraded and it seems to be
working like a charm.
I did see two different checks in the docs. There's the "cluster"
check and also the "cluster-zone" check. Right now I have a "cluster"
what else to try with respect to debugging this. The
debuglog doesn't seem to show the output from a check other than the
exit value. And the debuglog on the satellite/server doesn't seem to
show incoming data values from remote hosts. Is there a way to enable
