Can anybody tell me how to reset icinga2 completely and start from scratch.
I don't care about history or anything, I just need it working again.

Hi Michael,
It would appear that somebody did a reset on the monitoring master not the
client. Now we have tons of services in pending state.
I've tried to reset the clients for all affected, but it does not seem to
fix the issue.
For example: service ntp is in Soft 1/3 state. Last check 21/07,
Sorry ... there the MOM is the master of masters ..
I think it's a process which I'm working out now ... some of the guys here
moved clients between the MOM and masters ... and thats messing things up.
I'll feedback once I have it all figured out ...

Hi Michael,
Sorry to bring this topic back again.
I have a client -> master -> MOM setup, where the MOM. We're seeing hosts and
services not updating state on MOM but working fine on master.
Seems your sentence was cut. "where the MOM"?
Kind regards

Do I do the same process on the master to reset all statuses ?

Hi Michael,
Would this be on the client, or server ?
You were referring to "a host" which I consider a satellite or client. Purging
the icinga2 state and possible cluster replay logs should be sufficient to reset it to
null.
Kind regards,
Michael
Hi Michael,
Would this be on the client, or server ?
If this is on the server, would this not reset all my other hosts as well
or is the state just being reflected in the web interface ?

I have an issue I'm hoping somebody can help shed light on how to resolve.
One of the machine we monitor had a time change into the future for
testing, now the monitoring is stuck for that host.
I've tried stopping the client, removing the node from the master and
re-adding, but that doesn't fix
