One issue that you may encounter with going to a new storage system on a z9
processor is the speed of the ficon cards and whether the new unit can z9

I would make sure that if you replace it, with whichever vendor, that the new

Are you trying to restore this tape on to a system other than where it was

If I remember correctly, IBM started providing DFSORT because DB2 uses it,
regardless of whether you are licensed for it.
If DFSORT is not activated via IFAPRD00, then no one else besides DB2 can use
it.
I tried to do a Syncsort to DFSORT migration for a former group. We had to

You mentioned that the one system existed in the DMZ.
Is it possible that the DMZ has a different policy that terminates inactive IP
sessions?

Did you go from an OSA 5 to an OSA 6 card?
We upgraded a z12 to a z14 6 months ago and found out that we missed upgrading
the OSA software as the OSA 6 cards required a different version.

Anyone have any real-world experience with SMT?
We have very high zIIP usage, 70% to 80% across 3 zIIPs, right now and have
been asked to evaluate turning on SMT.
One response was that with high zIIP usage, SMT might not be as effective as
could be, and the other response is that it will make

As usual, it falls to me answer.
Are there ways for a JBOSS call to infect a mainframe?
If so, what would our options be to prevent other than a solid RACF environment?

Your Service Now team should be able to process an email and open incidents.
We do that now.
We format an email using our automation tools and send it to a identified
mailbox, where the Service Now team picks it up and opens the incident.
As for CA7 opening incidents directly, I do not know.
I currently have 6 production, 1 test, and 1 sandbox LPARs sharing a RMM

I have SYSID as the SMFID of each LPAR.
I have CDSID as a generic name. We created the system with all 6 LPARs when we
installed RMM. Based upon this, I would say you need to keep CDSID(SYSA).
Also, we don'

It could be because you are modeling after the data component and not the
cluster base.
Try modeling it after DSNDBC, not DSNDBD. DSNDBC is the cluster component name
and DSNDBD is the data component name.
