Not really, quite often I receive notification of somebody comment on a post.

doesn't seem to send notifications for "root" comments.

My disqus profile has the option enabled to send me notification emails. I
guess the missing part is having disqus understand that a post is the
beginning of a discussion - it seems like I only get notified when someone
replies to my *comment*, not when they "reply" to the post itself. I
