scanning in GNU Guix

Hi Guix, as I wrote approx. 2 years ago, now I have the proof. I can print in Guix SD with my very old printer HP Officejet J4580 All-in-One but I can´t _scan_. Now after installing GNU Trisquel in a VM in GNU Guix I can print and scan with the same printer. So, what is the difference between
