Fast `guix environment --container' switch

Hi Guix! `guix environment --container ... -- my-foo-program` is great but a bit slow to start. Is there a way to speed this up? I know that without --container, one can use --root to create a link and source the etc/profile from there. Is it possible to switch to such a root in a container? A
