I was under the impression that 'guix build [P]' followed by
'guix install /gnu/store/[...]' would produce equivalent results to
'guix install [P]' -- but evidently that's not generally the case? With
up-to-date Guix:
$ guix build gcc-toolchain@4.8.5
[...]
/gnu/store/zq67w51hf6vp
I'm gonna try but I can't promise to deliver it by the end of the week; I have
no idea of the package complexity and I don't work in IT, but if I read the

I have no idea of the level of complexity. I'm not very pragmatic. I tend to
educate myself on everything before I undertake anything. Or to read big books
from cover to cover. |-O
