Hi,
Not that I have any solution (sorry...) but a similar blackout happened when I
removed the regular linux kernel (using nonguix channel) and tried the native
Libre kernel for Guix, some months ago. I immediately went back to the
original Linux...
My PC has both Ryzen CPU and AMD video card
I am kind of shooting from the hip here, others may be more knowledgeable than
me, but here is my two cents.
As a general rule, any "brand new hardware" (except server grade hardware and
Intel hardware) generally needs 3-6+ months before it has good Linux support.
So you may run into issues us

Hi Guix help,
I just installed the latest version and when it booted up, it starts and
loads kernel but it freezes and the last dmesg I see is udevd no sender
credentials received, message ignored.
When I force restart I got

Hi guix,
I built a guix image for a hardware enthusiast friend to try on his
computers, in part to see how well/completely his more modern hardware
would run guix and if it would be worth commissioning him to build me a
computer. It successfully booted, but the screens turned blank and

Hello,
after the recent move to a newer ocaml version, I cannot unison any more
with my work machine, which has
unison version 2.51.2 (ocaml 4.07.1)
instead of our new
unison version 2.51.2 (ocaml 4.09.0)
This raises error messages of this kind:

Are you sure? Most home routers do include their own DNS server.
It's already running (GNU/)Linux, a DHCP server, and probably a

Well, that's not nothing, is it?

Does this mean I use those DNS servers my Internet provider uses?
I often cannot access websites that Roskomnadzor had banned, even when I use

Hi, Guix! Congratulations for 1.2.0!
I want to discover which dns server is using in my PC under Guix?
I have nothing in /etc/resolv.conf:
# cat /etc/resolv.conf
nameserver 192.168.1.1
I use dhcp-client and connect to the network through wifi usb stick.

I try to search a lightweight network sharing solution for containers

That's what I want to say, thank you!
I want to combine different software in containers in docker-compose

I'm not a Docker hater, but docker will corrupt your iptables entry and
make the system impure. If y
We are pleased to announce the release of GNU Guix 1.2.0, which also
marks the eighth anniversary of Guix today.
This release corresponds to 10,248 commits over 6.5 months by 201 people.
It includes many new features, user interface and performance
improvements, as well as many bug fixes—see below

for a group of services that share a single dependency graph. For example,
when deploying a web application in a container, one could also provide an
nginx server there for its exclusive use, and maybe even a database server
