puppet supports a method "ensure => latest" which takes care of always
installing the latest available versio

Hm... I personally think that relying on DNS magic to do what you want is bound
to produce more problems than necessary and be much more fragile in

Yes, the logic could be encapsulated in a bundle that sets a single var which
is used everywhere. That's what I'm trying to do here. :)Unfortunate
