I think you're missing the point here. If you are trying to figure out what
Cfengine is doing, by looking at the output of cf-agent -I, then you're going
too deep.

Have you looked in the reference manual at all?
All components log errors to syslog by default.
Searching for "syslog" in the reference shows lots of options regarding logging.
