Not really, the error messages you saw are typical "lex" errors from the
old static memory allocation parameters. They are ignored as far as I
know in flex.

It compiles on Solaris 10 with a 1-line fix to the configure script (or you can
check out the Subversion trunk and build that... sigh).

The 3.2.0 released tarball apparently compiles (and ultimately runs) just fine
on the same system. That'll teach me to trust bleeding-edge code
