I've updated to latest Wine on OS X (previous version was few weeks
old),
and now cmd prompt works okay (now colors are ugly but at least
visible),
and it still can't run DOS executables, but it can run Win16
application,
in more or less usable way. I have only one Win16 app on my HDD, so it

Sorry, you're wrong. It's been long since I tried to run any 16-bit
DOS apps using Wine (BTW it's written like this, not WINE), but they
You are right Przemyslaw my mistake

I think you will be surprised if you create pure DOS application.
Let's try:
/*** t76.prg ***/
proc main()
? date(), time()
? os()
? version()
? procname()

that Wine on OS X _doesn't_ support DOS. I've posted the error

Thanks Teo.
I've eased on my plans. I'll probably settle with dosbox
for simple Clipper compatibility tests, this is easily
available via MacPorts on OS X.
For more demanding tests like Harbour builds on MS-DOS
host, I'll use dosemu under Linux just like before, I
want to do such thing quite rar

AFAIK it's impossible and WINE cannot be used to execute
DOS applications.
Are you sure that you eve executed DOS binaries using WINE?

Hi Bruno,
Did you try to execute DOS aplications in WINE ?
works very well
Thanks for the tip.
Since I'd like to use it for Clipper/DOS reference
testing in context of Harbour development, I'd
like to use a DOS environment as close to MS-DOS
as possible, wine seems to thick of a layer for
