Is it necessary to run "make" before "make check", or is it good enough
to just run "make check" and rely on Make to build whatever needs to be
built to run "make check"?

Now that things are hopefully fixed up a bit more in core-updates I am
trying again to build the "covering" of icedtea to see what still needs
to be fixed. I'll let you know how that goes.

sized down, but I caught some discussion yesterday on irc, that the image
is actually very well compressible, and checking the sizes it really is.
