I've read the fine manual abit ... 7.2.6.1 Locale Data Compatibility Considerations ... seems to be about what to do to avoid this happening in the first place, refers to 2.6.1 Locales which offers a solution that seems to require a working guix to fix a broken guix ... $ guix package -i glibc
