If there was a rate-limit for posts on any given topic, you've exceeded it by
leagues, miles, kilometers, pick a unit, you've gone too far; it's tiring.

Hey Guix,
Some of us have chatted in the past while gathered at the repro builds
summits about "relocatable binaries". I've been continuing to chew on
that thought for a while now, and might have made some interesting progress.

Some of us will be in Paris, France, for the Reproducible-Build Summit¹,
iirc there is even an env var you can set -- PYTHONDONTWRITEBYTECODE=anyvalue
-- which will prevent these .pyc files from ever being generated.
There are no ill effects to this I have ever noticed in several years of having
it set in my bashrc.
