Hey Guix,
In Guix System the system log files (/var/log/messages, /var/log/debug,
etc.) are world readable by default. Since `dmesg' was restricted to
privileged users a while ago [0] it seems reasonable to make these files
readable by privileged users only as well.
What do others think?

Hey Guix,
I've already asked about this on IRC, but since the people responsible
for the changes didn't seem to be present I'll ask here too.
I use EXWM so I've installed ‘emacs’ and ‘emacs-exwm’ in my system
profile. Additionally I've installed Emacs packages (‘emacs-org’,
‘emacs-pdf-tools’, ‘e

Hello Guix,
I would like to propose an enhancement to our SLiM service which would
allow it to be started on multiple ttys (much like our mingetty
service). I believe this would be useful for users who do not want to
use GDM but still want to be able to run multiple graphical sessions at

Hello Ludo,
I have sent a patch incorporating most of your feedback to

Thanks for your feedback and especially for testing it on aarch64.

Hello Guix,
I have written a package definition for Inferno and I would like to know
if it would make sense to add it to Guix. I am asking because I am not
sure if it is compatible with the FSDG (bundled fonts, trademarks, ...)
and if it would be of any use to anyone.
It builds reproducibly on m
ever I do not
know if it breaks anything.

I sent a copy of this to guix-devel@gnu.org because the bug has already

Hello,
I would like to create a package for the ESC/P-R printer driver. The
recipe works on my machine (GuixSD on x86_64). Yet I am not sure about
the source URL as it appears to break as soon as a new version is made
available because the old link is not preserved. Should we get the
