Note that the scheme shell (scsh) has an awk implementation using
macros. Maybe the code helps:

FOSDEM has approved a GNU Guile devroom. We will have a 80 person room
for half a day on Saturday January 30th. This is absolutely fabulous
as FOSDEM is one of the main FOSS conferences in the world with

We will have a call for participation soon.

Note that we will have a Guix meet and talks too.

Submit a talk! Talks can be 15 or 30 minutes w. Q&A. We'll have 3-4
hours to distribute.

Anyone here involved with other Guile projects such as Gnucash and
LilyPond? Can you E-mail me privately that you have seen the call for
talks and that your project is aware?
I am going to E-mail individual projects too - anyone know of projects
not listed on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GNU_Gui
Hi everyone,
Just a quick heads-up. Submit your FOSDEM talk to
https://penta.fosdem.org/submission/FOSDEM16/
with a title and a short description (one paragraph is enough). Add
whether you aim for 15 or 30 minutes.
If you are unsure, ping me directly.
Thanks,
Pj.
Oh yes, Guile has the devroom from 10-14 hrs. During lunch we may have
one overlapping hour with the LUA folks - so talks that cross-over
would be interesting too.

I have spend some time locating Guile projects and mailing the authors
today. The Gnucash people are responding.
The problem here is that not everyone reads this list and
finding/subscribing is a lot of work.
I want to ask everyone here to forward the following to anyone you
know who is writing
Who, btw, did the integration of Guile in GNU Make and gdb? Anyone
know?

Attached the call for talks. We expect to have a full devroom again!!
A twitter feed will be going and we hope to get streaming video.
Please do submit. Note that a talk at FOSDEM won't hurt your career
and is a great way to get feedback on your project/ideas :).

Awesome. Ricardo can you co-ordinate between the 3 V&A, or ask one of
the others to coordinate and that you have each other's phone numbers?
I suggest to come half an hour before the room starts to boot up -
literally.
Hopefully the system does not miss out on talks like last year...

Big thanks to the great speakers - personally I enjoyed every single
talk!! And then a hand to those who helped, especially Manolis who
supported getting the program lined up from the start!
Great stuff - and I know we made some new converts :). As a colleague

Hi Andy,
It does look a lot like the channels we propose.
Another thing to keep in mind is that it is possible to relocate guix
binaries into any prefix so you do not actually need root privileges.
It is something I am using for testing packages on HPC without root

We should advertise those numbers on the front page. This is a big

Thank you everyone for this great FOSDEM with the GNU Guix days: it
was just great to see everyone and all the interactions! I feel much
inspired to try GNU Hurd, new Guix features, the new Guile build
system and even Racket (oops).
A special thank you to the speakers and everyone who helped out!
