How to catch mouse events from a GtkImage?

Hi, I have a little piece of code where I connect the signals corresponding to the mouse events to a GtkImage, and then the callback prints a message when it detect some of these signals, but it doesn't seems to work. If I connect them to a GtkWindow it works, but it doesn't with the GtkImage. Ad

I'm using gtk_vbox_new and gtk_hbox_new to pack widgets on a window. My problem is that the packing is too uniform. Every widget is assigned the same uniform box size. In other words, my first horizontal wdget would be a text box, the next widget would be a listview and the third horizontal widge
