I just saw that some people aren't regenerating autogenerated files in
CVS. If you make changes to configure.ac or conf/*.rmk, please run
autogen.sh and also commit the generated files.

The argc address in last line looks very suspicious; stack corruption?

It's possible, but it can also be a compiler optimalisation that
confuses gdb.
