I have a very small and old laptop computer with a very small and
wonderful linux on it called Basiclinux 3.0. I have for some time bin
looking for some word processing program. That can output good looking
postscript (pdf) file. Abiword won't run on my VGA monitor and TeX is
way to big and

try to see a ps file I can't do that I get an error messages

I have made a book for kids. I would like to try to make it in groff.
It is mostly images going all the way to the borders of the
pages.Ttext is printed over the pictures. In order to see text i
sometimes have to change the color of the text. I can not finde
anything about changing font colors

Last winter I did a posting to this list about child book that I
wanted to make. Miklos proposed me to do it in direct PostScrip and
that was the beginning of a longer journey for me. The result is very

I just compiled groff from source and I used pdfmom in a way I have done
many times before but this time there was a strange problem that I have not
tried before. The error massages was printed into the document.
This command is causing the problem
$ pdfmom udspil.mom >udspil.pdf
Is this a bug? Is

Just tried: Well table of content is still left ind end of the doc but now
it does not print every page two times so it is an improvement

Can any of you walk me through what I should do to use the font 'bitstream
vera sans' in my groff document? The font is somehow available in my system
because I use it in my terminal (rxvt-unicode)

I am on work now. Can not check, but could it be that since I cm not using

I think there must be a bug in the version og groff that I'v got. It sais
the same thing no matter what eps i use. Also eps'es that I'v med work
befor years ago with at other version og groff.
Ok it is not the version of groff. ( changed to an older one and got same
thing.) However. I fund that it print this error massag but actually still
get the image in the fill so I guess it is not a big problem after all :-)

Thank you Robert for stating this. It is always good to kind of round up
and conclude. I could also look a bit in to what other members do to make
there eps files from cli. I rember some earlier conversations about it the
subjekt on this list.

requsts if my document later becomes a more advanced pdf or a html document.

And in addition. Looking at your document. I was wondering if .TL can be
used more than once in a document just as a centered heading. Since .SH and
.NH are not centered? (sorry for high jacking your threed. But it is such a
small little question :-).

forgotten what was that sam2p doew better than any other program. It was
file size. Sam2p makes smaller eps files than the other programs which is a

I need to put clickable links in a PDF. I know that Peter and the whole mom
solution have a way to do this, but I've gone away from using mom and now
use the good old ms package and pure groff. Are there any ways to add
clickable links without using the mom-pdf solution?

Sorry that I more or less hitchhiker your thread but reasons why I
never got started with groff is that I never really found a way "into
it". Which makroset should I choose? how do I start? I would like to
have many fonts to choose from will i get that with groff? etc. The

I have tried to compile latest groff on my debian chroot on my android
tablet with ARM processor. Here I have this compilation error. I can see a
response to an email I have found from Ted that it is essential to give the
path to the fonts during configure but how?

separate procedures for things like indent and text boxes. The concept here
is simply resetting the line start and the line length??

No haven't done any prosper "homework" before asking. Just wanted to here
