Hello alls,
The groff_lilypond program is a very nice idea. But since
many of you seems to want to write music with troff, why not
asking to lilypond people to implement a groff output, since
it seems to exist a latex output?
I mean, they might not want, or have no time to do this,
but, it's not

LaTeX output has been completely dropped in current LilyPond versions.
The current interaction with LaTeX happens with the lilypond-book
Python script which is approximately works similar to

What's the problem? For me, using .PSPIC directly to embed a lilypond
EPS file works just fine.

You are right, `groff -Tpdf' does not work. But I used `groffer' which still
generates a ps-file and converts it by `gs' or `ps2pdf' into `pdf'. And that
works. So there

A new request was added for including lilypond files into a groff file.
.lilypond include ...
There can be several file names in the argument, possibly encircles
by single or double quotes.
This request can be inside or outside of a lilypond range in the groff
file.
