Eddie, further to my previous post I have done other tests that make me suspect of a bug in StreetView or GoogleMap viewers, more then in Chrome. The tests were to put the map canvas in overlay to other type of background and the most meaningfull was to put the map canvas in overlay to a pan

Hy Eddie, no I have no solutions. It is evidently a bug, but I am not sure due to Chrome because it happens only if you overlap a map div to a streetview div. I have tested overlapping two map div's and overlapping two streetview div's and mouse interaction is working properly in both cases.

I noticed that mouse click and drag do not work properly in Chrome when the map div is over a streetview div (I neet to have a streetview full page with a map insert overlay). Using IE, FF and Safari all is working properly. You can check it modifying code of your example http://code.google.com
