Hi,
I'm trying to import secret keys from a file and at the same time I
would like to verify if the user has the passphrases for the secret
keys.
Is there a way to check the key ID before importing the secret key?
Then I could first ask for the secret keys ID in the exported file,

Two machines (one Linux, one Windows).
I want a secure file 'shared' between them, as a pwd-safe.
Only I use the two machines, but need the file encrypted.
Any alternatives to symmetrical encryption of a file?

Looks like Ubuntu only?
Not found for Fedora.
I'll stick with symmetric for now.

Yes, no doubt, renaming /opt solves it.

I'm looking at sharing an encrypted file, Linux to 64 bit windows.
It seems that a Windows version isn't available, is this right please?
Lots of "similar" names, nothing from GNU?

If you import a key that has been revoked by a

this is a bug or a feature.

Thanks very much, John. The instructions worked a treat. One point for
anyone reading this in the mail list archives, you need to write
--refresh-keys (two dashes rather than one in the example).

How can I pass the clear text to gpg via a pipe and avoid using the temp

I am a noob (to both Linux and gpg), so a very clear example is greatly

If gedit can do it, I would think vim can do it too. Unfortunately, as a
