Since some time, maybe since a minor system update, before decrypting from my OpenPGP smart card, I always have to run: gpg --card-status Otherwise, I get an error message: $ gpg --faked-system-time 20200101T00 -d world.gpg gpg: WARNING: running with faked system time: 2020-01-01
