I just ran a test. My data file is 37 MByte in SQLite format, and 52 MByte when
in XML

through the palaver of starting up a new file.

Hi,
My GnuCash file (SQLite format) has become rather large - 110 MBytes. Every
month or two I import a lot more transactions in CSV format. I use piecash in a
Python script I wrote, because the importing of CSV data built into GnuCash
crashes when I import too many transactions.

Hi Flywire,
The easiest way I've found is to study the exact format that GnuCash exports
transactions as CSV. Then arrange (if possible) for the CSV files you want to
import to have exactly the same format as this. Then when you're on the import
CSV transaction page, you can select GnuCash expo
large numbers. Some use
spaces and other things. And I've seen the comma used as a decimal separator in
some cases.
Is this behaviour baked into GnuCash ... or maybe I could change it with the
LC_ environment variables?

Hi everyone,
In GnuCash one can create a hidden account. What legitimate purposes are there
for hidden accounts?

Hi everyone,
I'm using GnuCash for a small money transfer business. There are lots of
transactions from Australia to Tonga, and transactions going the other way
(Tonga to Australia) too. Transactions are of varying amounts and happen
frequently.

It is true that Bitcoin is loved by speculators and scammers. But it does have
legitimate use as a currency too. Government regulators are slowly moving to
treat Bitcoin transactions similarly to traditional currency transactions
