I am struggling to move an existing business into gnucash.
Have a closing trial balance @ year end 2019
In the setup screen I don't necessarily have all the accounts, so I imagine
I can set them up later, but some accounts that area available do not let
me put in an opening balance.
E.g. "retai

A while ago, I set up a business in Gnucash after having some outrageous
problems with QBO.
Once I got going it all worked out OK, but it appears I may have made some
mistakes in the end and I cannot comprehend how I might have done it or how
to fix them.
The primary tipoff was that I did all my

Specifically, this is about the opening balances on 1/1/20, carried over
from the final books as of 12/31/19.
There is an opening balance equity, but it is comput

somehow or other I had a discrepancy between my trial balance and my P&L.
and it turns out that the 22 trial balance is picking up transactions from
20 and 21.
What I cannot figure out is where to set the opening date for the trial
balance.
