An easy way to "move" many entries is to *delete* the offending account and let GnuCash move it to another account. Say you have utilities:water as an account but also utilities:Watercompany. Then you simply delete one and ask GnuCash to move all transactions to the other. All in one fell swoop.

Obviously, Quicken will do what they can to avoid customers switching away from their software! While a technically correct Quicken file is a good starting point for an import into GnuCash, it is worth remembering that Quicken uses "single entry". This means that even a technically good file may h
