Chris,
Did you run a report then click on Options / General Tab - the reports I
run allow you to set the period for each report?

Yeah it's Prefs >> Accounting Period - not sure if that's used by reports
or just for registers ?

This, with one minor change - If you're happy that everything is 100% just
reconcile up to your latest statement closing balance and date. Ignore the
Gnucash generated starting balance because when all said and done it's all
about the final closing balance.

Dave,
You might be overlooking the settings in the Windows Registry? Details at

GSettings
Besides the directories and files described above GnuCash also stores a
number of user preferences in GSettings
e hidden price column was all
about until I managed to expand a hidden "Rate" column on the right of my
Registers - I think this was mentioned a year or two back ?

If, as Adrien's post asks, it is a credit card type account you are
reconciling check Preferences >> Register >> Automatic credit card payment
- if it's set on you'll get the popup.

Hope this helps and once again thanks to you and the other devs for all
your hard work on Gnucash.

Will wait for an updated version :-)

Jeff,
I seem to recall just doing a "Flatpak Update" fixed an issue with blank
reports a little while ago - from memory it updated something else but I
don't remember the details. So give that a shot and see if it fixes the
issue.

Les,
If you mean "4.900" there already is. Be careful though as it's a beta
version and NOT recommended for daily/production use. So not an upgrade
yet. I'm having issues with it on Ubuntu 22.10 flatpak and Win 10 so
wouldn't recommend it just yet :-)
Cheers David H.
Hi again John and Devs,
I've just updated my Ubuntu 22.10 flatpak to the Gnucash 4.900 beta and am
having the same issues as on Win 10. Attached are trace files from each OS
in case it helps.

Jeff,
If you do a find from the accounts tab it will search in all splits, if
however you do a find in a Register tab it only looks at splits for that
particular Register, it doesn't search in splits belonging to other
Register's. Are you falling into this trap ?
Cheers David H.
https://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/gnuash.org reports it is down for
everyone. Presumably Derek will sort it :-)
