Yes, I am selling goods and services online.
I was splitting transactions before. But I got a new payment gateway setup
now and due to Covid-19, it'll take a bit longer to get sales. So for
verification of my bank account that payment gateway deposited some amount

How bizarre, I don't remember ever setting that up. Either way, looks like the
new way is to go with gnucash-cli.exe --quotes get
file://C:/path/to/file.gnucash, so I'll play with that for now.

If you have a "gnucash.bat" somewhere on your hard drive, you could just change
the line there to use the new executable. Or create yourself a new bat file
with the two commands in it-- gnucash-cli.exe on the first, and gnucash.exe on
the second.

In this process, I've quickly learned that you cannot delete invoices.
**facepalm**
In quickbooks, as I enter an expense in the register, I can mark it as
billable and select the customer to be billed. It appears that I can do
this in GNU as well, but not in the register...rather, in the vendor's

No. It is not safe to make any changes to the database while GnuCash is
connected to it because GnuCash reads the database only at the start of the
session and only writes after that. If you remove objects from the database you
should be careful to clean up all of the references to them as well-

The only supported way to access and especially modify data is using the
GnuCash API; in addition to C we provide Scheme and Python bindings that are a
