Gio, as per the other thread, and John’s advice here, you’re still missing a
setting change for criteria search.
Looking at the chart in your GoogleDoc, the only combo that is relevant is the
last pair.
1. Conduct the Find from the Account Register in question. (so far referred to
as AccountA,
Also, per the other thread, I have a standing question that might have saved
you all this time fussing over a Find operation. Please reply there so the
conversation stays together.

I have exported my Quicken data to a QIF file which I have tried to import
into GNUCash. I load the QIF file, proceed through the steps to the point
where I get to the QIF Import without error. When I click "Next" on that

Today, when I went to price database to download some closing amounts,
the application hung up and I to force close GC (3.8). I tried a second

used to happen often on the 2.6.19 version.
I do not know what caused it today
Maybe retry in a few weeks when 3.9 is out.

So, I have a VOO stock type account. The account is years old and is getting
online quotes without any problems.
Today I try to register a new purchase (VOO 200 at 252.25) and I realized
that the reporting is no longer working - the purchase price seems to be
corrupted.

It is trivial to manually delete prices one at a time from the price

Obviously the question is why it is in the wrong currency. Did you use a

anything else that has recently changed?

Hi Adrien, i'll answer this first because it's much faster for me since
i've done it. I have tried with 1 expense account or several specific
accounts. It works.
But when you try with select ALL expense accounts that's when it's blank.
So I think that when you ID the specific expense accounts and
If I recall correctly, the parent account of the account that holds the stock
sets the currency. Thus if you have a brokerage handling stock in multiple
currencies for you, you have to create placeholder sub-accounts under the main
brokerage account just to segregate the stocks for each currency
Hi Adrien,
"Do ANY of the target expense accounts involve transactions with ANY other
account than AccountA?"
Yes.
My objective is to be able to select ALL expense accounts. Because they are
expense accounts it is very very likely that they will have transactions
with other accounts besides Acco
Let’s say you want to delete transactions between AccountA and Expense:E,
Are there any transactions in Expense:E between it and some other account
besides AccountA?
If no, then just delete the entire account Expense:E, GnuCash will offer to
move the transactions, but in this case you want to d
Hi Adrien,
Yes I'm afraid that is the only solution I find. It is not a viable option
right now because I'm looking at hundreds of lines.
I'm very grateful for the time and attention you have given me in trying to
solve this problem as well. Thanks very much.

That was the right criteria. I’m not sure why it isn’t working for you.
Maybe I missed something, but you noted earlier that you have 10 transactions
that are transfers and are fixed properly. You want to delete everything else
in AccountA.
Doing a search for ‘everything else’ seems to be overk
Looking at the price database dialog, it is possible to select and edit the
currency for each price entry when manually entering or editing existing
price entries. This reduces the problem to tracking down a cause if it
happens with automatically generated entries.
